About the Process

                  The catalyst for Ivan's creative inspiration often results from the available material. The metal is
                  collected from scrap yards, engine rebuilders, transmission shops, and found objects from the
                  occasional dumpster dive.

Ivan enjoys the creative experience derived from transforming the material into this figurative art.
He immerses himself cutting, grinding and fusing molten steel resulting in this interactive art form.

This self taught style is used to configure the metal scraps into an eclectic array of creations which
are often whimsical and tend to tease the senses
